Can all phototypes have Cosmelan treatment?
Yes, all phototypes 1-6 can have treatment

Is Cosmelan a one-off treatment?
It is a one-off in-clinic treatment however, there is an extensive home care routine that needs to be continued for 12 months after to deliver full results and prevent return.

Is there downtime post treatment?
Yes, there is downtime. On average, some clients may find peeling lasts anywhere between 7-21 days. Redness that can last up to 4 weeks. There may be possible swelling for 3-7 days and sensitivity.

How quickly will my pigmentation disappear?

Every client is different. Some clients may get their best results within 4-8 weeks, some may be longer. The average reduction 4 weeks post treatment is around 80% some may experience more and some less.

Will my pigmentation return?
Depends on what caused the pigmentation and the triggers. If the cause is still present then there is a risk of return. Triggers may consist of UVA, UVB, hormonal issues, medication, genetics, unsuitable chemical substances applied to the skin, inflammation such as acne.
